Tagging Gun
We strongly recommend tagging with a tagging gun, the cost is very minimal. It has been our experience that safety pins can be very costly and can leave damaging holes in clothing.

o   White colored Cardstock (60-67 LB) to print your bar coded cards on (8 labels will print on each page). You can use scissors to cut these out, a scrap booking paper cutter or go to Staples and use their large paper cutter.
Target has had the best price on Cardstock that we have found, Staples and Michaels are other good option. If getting paper at AC Moore, be sure to check their website, they usually have a 40-50% off one item coupon.

o   Tagging gun. You can purchase the tagging gun on amazon or eBay. You will need to purchase barbs for your gun as well, 1inch barbs work best. Check to see if you can get a combo pack, usually you can buy the gun and it will come with all the barbs you need to tag your items.

If using a tagging gun, attach pants to a regular hanger by connecting front of pants and back of pant with barb over the top of hanger on both sides of pants.

Easy places to put barb to attach pants to hanger is behind belt loops.

On tops and dresses, tags can be barbed under arm if there is no tag in neck. Other great places are on any seam with extra fabric to push barb through

SAFETY PINS:

If using safety pins you can use regular computer paper to tag your items. Attach tag to RIGHT side of garment, this makes it easier for the shopper to see and for us to find when we scan them at checkout.  Use only one safety pin to attach and attach it at the top of the tag so barcode is free and will not be damaged or blocked.

Always attach on right side of garment with ONE safety pin being careful not to block the barcode

Pants can be attached to hangers with 2 safety pins, one of each side connected over the hanger.
GENERAL SUPPLIES

o   Hangers –  plastic hangers only- NO wire hangers ( target and walmart tend to be the cheapest ). You will not get your hangers back after the sale.  Sometimes we have extra hangers- if you are in need please email us.  We also often have extra hangers at the end of our sale.

o   Zip ties, clear packing tape, ribbon or string for items.

o   Plastic zip or slide loc bags (to hold accessories/parts)

o  Gather your items in a neat pile beside your computer.  To make inputting the easiest consigners want to separate clothing by gender and size. When you are ready to print your tags make sure your computer is allowing pop ups. The tags pop up in a new window so you need to enable that feature. Please make sure your bar codes look readable.

o   Please bring only items that are seasonally appropriate. All items must be in good condition, clean, in style, in working condition and free of any odors (smoke, animals, etc.) When in doubt..... leave it out!

Hangers: Clothing must be on plastic hangers. With the hanger hook pointing to the left, like a ? When using the Tagging Gun please put the printed card through the inside tag on the clothing or in the seam in underarm or seam that is visible or draw string. DO NOT PIERCE TAG THROUGH FABRIC- IT WILL CAUSE A HOLE AND WE WILL NOT SELL IT! Jean is really the only fabric that you can pierce through.  Pin sets, or use the tagging gun to connect them together. When using safety pins, please pin pants onto hangers and pin tag in upper right hand corner of clothing item. Only put on pin on the top of the tag to not block the scanning barcode.
* spring sale-swimwear ( bathing suits/swim shorts). Please hang 1pc bathing suits if you can. If you do not have pants hangers for 2pc suits or boys swim shorts thats fine, bring them lose and we will hang them.

Non-Clothing Items: Any non clothing item - toy, book, video, baby equipment etc. needs a tag printed, minus the size and taped to the object at the top of the tag, pinned to object or zip tied to the object.  Please use a strong tape like packing tape or painter’s tape, scotch tape does not hold. PLEASE ONLY PUT TAPE ON either the TOP and BOTTOM OR ACROSS the WORDING OF THE TAG. DO NOT TAPE OVER BARCODE OR COVER ENTIRE TAG as we often need to take it off at check-out to be scanned.

Toys do not have to be in bags, only small items that go with the toy. For example if you are bringing a Little People Garage, gather the Little People and cars and put in Ziploc bag and attach to the Garage with zip tie or packing tape.
Group small items such as socks, accessories, etc. in Ziploc bags.  Tape the card on the outside of the bag.  Please seal the top of the bag with packaging tape to keep all items together. Shoes SHOULD not be put in Ziploc bags if possible!!! Tie the shoelaces together, zip tie or use the tagging gun or ribbon to tie them together! Puzzles- you can putt the pieces in a baggie then tape baggie with tag to puzzle board or saran wrap the entire puzzle.

Description -Use this space to sell your item!  Is it a Name brand? Put the brand name in first box. Feel free to use abbreviations for Jumping Beans (JB) or Children’s Place (CP), smaller or one word names should be typed out like Gap or Gymboree. Is your item new or like new? Feel free to put NWT (New with Tag) or NIB (New in Box) after the brand name or description.  A good description also helps Too Cute To Toss find its match if it falls off.

Discount - Check the box if you want your item to be sold at 1/2 price during the half priced sale.  If box IS NOT checked the item will sell for full price for the length of the sale. The little red asterisk that prints on the tag means it WILL NOT be 50% off.

Donate – Checking the “donate box” on “Enter items” screen will indicate that you WILL NOT be taking that item home after the sale and Too Cute To Toss will be donating the item on your behalf. Check the box only if you want to donate!  Leave it unchecked if you do not!

Price - Minimum price on all items must be $0.50. Feel free to bundle items together, especially onesies. PRICE TO SELL!

Category - You must choose a category! This is important for sales tax purposes. If you do not chose a category the system automatically taxes the item at check out which slows down the line and over charges customers.

PLEASE!!! Group your clothing items into different sizes separating girls and boys. This will make it easier not only for entering and tagging, but also for us putting them out on the racks.
